Horrible Place!
I would not put my dog in this facility. I have concerns about my loved one and they keep blocking a transfer out of this facility. No one ever answers the phone. The facility is dirty and stinks. They steal things from my loved one ALL the time. There are no phone jacks but when we supply a cell phone it gets stolen. When I leave messages, it takes days to get hold of a staff member. I have to leave a message to have my loved one call me to check on them. Since they are at the desk talking to me, the staff can hear everything being said. Your loved one cannot even let you know what is going on out of fear. DO NOT put your loved one in this facility.

Place is not fit for rats
Unprofessional rude staff. Filthy facility, with no housekeeping due to budget cuts. Rooms are dirty and patients unkept. Management sits high in their offices and has no clue what goes on at the frontline. I would kennel a rat here! As a healthcare professional for over a decade I can’t understand how this places passes a state survey

Terrible Care
Absolutely horrifying experience with my loved who needed in-depth care. I was impressed by the nice lobby when I first visited the facility. After my loved one moved out of the covid unit and we were able to see a room, we realized all the money was spent on their lobby and offices. The residents rooms have panels peeling off the walls in the bedroom. The food is terrible, consistently one meal a day is inedible , and many of the staff are not properly trained in-depth care. My loved one received bed sores form lack of care. I don't know if this place has always been terrible but right now they are incapable of proper patient care and need a serious overhaul. I wish we had gone anywhere else.

Worst Experience for Mom
ZERO STARS - (Forced to give them One Start to have this published) Do not even kennel your pet at this facility. My mother was sent here to recover from COVID-19 and was "supposed" to receive care and rehabilitation to regain strength and mobility. I cannot say enough BAD things about this facility. The communication was non-existent. Our Mom has serious Dementia cognitive impairment and the staff here is not trained in how to communicate or direct patients with this debilitating condition. I forced management to have regular status calls so that we would have some idea of her daily routine, which wasn't much. Mom shared photos of the food provided and I wouldn't have served it to my pets. She will require extensive physical therapy as the therapy provided at this "rehabilitation" facility was not really sufficient, considering she was there for four weeks. AVOID this "Center" at all costs and do not inflict your loved ones with care here!

Grateful
I was visiting Delmar Gardens of Overland Park on. [Date removed]. Not only was the community absolutely beautiful the residents where involved while the staff Served brunch to our area first responders. The brunch was hosted on the gorgeous covered patio that wraps around the lake side of the building. Made to order omelets And biscuits and gravy seemed to be a few of the favorites ! Thank you all for all you do!

Frequently Asked Questions
about Overland Park Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing

A Place for Mom has scored Overland Park Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
