We are a small care-providing community located right in the middle of a vibrant area, ripe with several other care homes, a golf course, a tranquil river, and a shopping center complete with grocery and retail stores. Our Home provides a special combination of personalized support services, health care, and housing, designed to meet the individual needs of our residents. With our high staff-to-resident ratio, we aim to treat all of our community members with respect and tenderness. Stop by for a visit and let Our Home become your home! </p> <h3>Our Community</h3> <p>Our Home takes pride in providing unparalleled service, allowing our small community of residents the opportunity to enjoy a maintenance-free lifestyle in our warm, homelike environment. We strive to promote maximum independence and dignity among each of our residents, and encourage the involvement of their families and friends.</p> <h3>Living Arrangements</h3> <p>Our community is built to accommodate 4 residents, which we feel is a perfect size to foster friendships and encourage a sense of camaraderie. Free access to wireless internet is available, as well as climate control for comfort and safety. Wheelchair accessible rooms and showers are offered for those who require such features. Our building is secured, keeping our residents safe from outside elements, and discouraging wandering behaviors in individuals with Alzheimer’s or dementia. </p> <h3>On-Site Activities</h3> <p>Residents at Our Home can exercise their physical and mental health with a number of activities offered. We like to involve everyone in collective games and events in our common areas. Our staff helps fill the day with physical movement, thoughtful activities, and even speech therapy to keep residents sharp and engaged. There’s plenty of time for relaxation, too – kick back in our TV room and watch the game or your favorite show. </p> <h3>Dining </h3> <p>Our Home’s kitchen is always serving delicious meals, consisting of rotating daily specials alongside always-available snacks. Residents are offered three healthy, home-cooked meals per day, and our chef can gladly create items to accommodate varied dietary requirements, such as Kosher options.</p> <h3>Personal Services</h3> <p>A frequent staff presence at Our Home is available to aid you or your loved one with any time-sensitive needs. We are able to assist residents with a number of daily activities – caregivers can help residents in and out of the shower and offer help with dressing and toileting. We also have an on-site beautician who can provide personal grooming services as needed.</p> <h3>Medical Care</h3> <p>Some of the medical services that Our Home provides includes medication management, as well as physical, speech, and occupational therapies. Staff is also trained to provide residents with incontinence care as needed. In addition to our trained staff, we make arrangements with a visiting nurse to evaluate our residents’ health, and always have a doctor on-call to provide detailed, critical observations and respond to any emergency situations. If a long-term stay is not needed, Our Home offers respite care – a shorter stay at our community – perfect for those recovering from a hospital visit, the interim during which a caregiver takes an extended vacation, or simply to experience a senior living trial period.</p> <h3>Care Types Offered</h3> <p>Our Home is considered a <em>Care Home</em> with <em>Memory Care</em> services. These terms are defined as follows:</p> <h3>Care Home</h3> <p><em>Residential care homes</em> — sometimes called <em>care homes</em>, <em>board and care homes</em>, <em>group homes</em>, or <em>personal care homes</em> — are houses in residential neighborhoods that are adapted, equipped, and staffed to care for a small number of residents, usually between two and 10.
