Great Option
The quality of care is consistently outstanding. Kindhearted staff are willing to answer questions or help out in any way. The property itself is well maintained by being clean and organized throughout the property, not just the common areas; moreover, it is located in a beautiful and tranquil setting. One of the resident's descriptive is 'I'm living in Paradise'. That says a lot to me.

New Hope has a lot to improve on
They are nice and friendly to visit with, but there are no activities and it seems like that would be a nice thing to add on. And the food needs some improvement, they could offer more of a variety. My loved one kind of gets the same thing everyday. The communication between New Hope is a little bit hard because the people they had don't speak English very well, and one of them doesn't understand English at all. Recently, as in a couple days ago, they've hired someone who does understand and speak English. Management and administration could check the rooms and patients more often. Right now there are about seven residents I believe with no transportation available. When I visit, I just go and sign in and they will take my temperature. After that, you then visit with your loved one in their individual room. One nice thing is, they did provide furniture and TV for the room. My loved one's room was a bit small, but it has a couple windows, and a closet. The restroom is across the hall, it's close. I would not recommend New Hope to others because of the language barrier between the staff and our family, the food, and the management & administration.

Every thing started out really good but with the staffing issues somethings have just gone down hill. The staff members are very friendly and kind but there is a language barrier. Breakfast is good but other meals could be improved, just a little disappointed

I loved the way the [name removed] have made this facility into a beautiful home for any family member. After talking to [name removed] I know this would be a place my mother would be taken care of like family. It is beautiful and clean. The home has a picturesque patio and the dinning area is roomy. I also like the 24/7 care she would receive. This is a top contender!

New Hope Assisted Living Recommendation
Our mother was diagnosed with dementia and it got to the point where she could no longer live alone. We were looking for a place where mom would feel more at home and not lost in a large facility. New Hope came highly recommended to us and luckily they had an opening when we needed them. The facility is more like a home and was always clean. The staff and management team were always helpful and caring towards our mom and all others that lived in the facility. If you are looking for a place for a loved one, and want to feel assured that they will be taken care of just like they were family, then we would highly recommend New Hope Assisted Living.

I liked the facility, but the other residents appeared much more advanced in their dementia. All were wearing bibs, and many seemed to need significant assistance with feeding.

A Visit To The Community
A Place For Mom for gave us options and made our search easy within the perimeter of that area we were looking in. When I got here the owner was not there. The staff called to see if they were coming but the husband stopped by instead. It was a nice tour but he referred all my questions. Not the right fit for mom.

Not as cheerful...
The environment was not as cheerful as other places I toured. The residents were all lined up in lazy boy chairs watching tv and it was dark. There is nothing wrong with that, it would be a good fit for someone else, b ut it was not for my mother. Everyone was very friendly.

One month in and very happy.
My dad has been at New Hope for a month now. Despite his severe dementia he adjusted to the move and seems to enjoy the "family" atmosphere (as opposed to the larger institution where he was previously). I like that he is encouraged to just sit back and nap on the couch alongside others in the living area instead of having to stay in his room. Owners Elena and John are onsite, available, and interacting with the residents. Most importantly the staff is stable so they learn how to communicate with each resident, and residents are surrounded with familiar people instead of constant turnover. Elena was especially helpful in making moving day run smoothly.

This would be an ideal place for many people.
The owner is fabulous. I was very impressed with her, she went out of her way to keep us informed. The community is very clean, and nice. They had good food and most of the workers are wonderful. There was one worker there that I felt was less than compassionate, and quite honestly came off a little cold. I feel like this caused an issue with my loved one, between that and the medication they put him on, this was not a good fit for my loved one. I feel like if your loved one is fairly docile, and doesn't want to leave, or have any aggression, then this would be an ideal place. I would still recommend it, even if it didn't work out for us. My mom said that this is where she wants to go if she ever needs it.

Lovely, immaculate place, compassionate staff
I don't know much about activities because my wife was there when she had severe dementia. I like that the place was closest to home. There was space available, it was highly recommended. The place was immaculate and very nice. We were very pleased with the service down there. We found them very compassionate, understanding, and helpful.

Great Care
The care seems to be great. My mom has been there for 3 weeks and when I go she's dressed, she's clean, she's been fed and her bed is made. She's being well taken care of - much more than I could do my myself and that's what I was looking for. My mom is mourning the loss of her spouse so she is not showing any interest in the activites right now but when I go there are other ladies doing activities like puzzles, bingo, and cross stitching. The staff seems very caring and very understaning of the level of ability of the residents. It's very clean - you could eat off the floor over there!

about New Hope Assisted Living

New Hope Assisted Living offers Private and Semi-Private. Learn more.

A Place for Mom has scored New Hope Assisted Living 9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
