All of the staff members are very friendly and helpful. Several of them have taken special interest in helping my mother make progress with some of her medical issues such as macular degeneration and mobility due to osteoarthritis. Housekeeping staff does a great job with keeping rooms clean and supplying clean towels and bed sheets. Communication with the family is always handled well when necessary. The move in process was simple for everyone and my mother was greeted by name and made to feel welcome by staff and other residents. The quality of the food is difficult to answer because I haven't eaten there. I will say that my mother finds some of the food not very appealing. But, to be honest, she is a very picky eater with a low appetite at 93 years old. Based on our experience with Mifflin Court after 3 months in, I would highly recommend this facility.

Mifflin Court is a Genesis senior living community located in quaint and historic Shillington, PA. The picture perfect town is like something out of a storybook and actually served as the basis for the town of Olinger in the fictional books by legendary author John Updike.
We offer all the comforts of home with none of the work. Residents enjoy open seated dining for three meals every day, personal housekeeping and laundry services. With more free time than ever before, you will find yourself busy and active doing the things you enjoy. Many of our current residents appreciate being able to stay active in our fitness and wellness center or by walking through our garden and courtyard. My mother is not real happy there. Some of her cash has gone missing since she moved in and it's too small and there's not any activities that are worthwhile to her. She doesn't like the bathroom sink being in kitchen. So the kitchen and bathroom share a sink. That annoys her. The medical care is not up to par. They see a PA every month. It's very hard to see her and talk to anyone in nursing. Communication is not good. The place is clean, friendly, overall appealing, food is good my mom says. Dad likes it too. Dad is happy there. He gets good care he says. But I think they could be happier somewhere else closer to me and having more activities and maybe a bigger space.

I was here for respite and returned six months later as a permanent resident. I felt welcome. It was like coming home. The other residents made me feel like I belonged and the staff answered my questions. I feel safe and 'at home.'

They do have a lot of activities for the residents to do here. This was a good place for my loved one. There are plenty opportunities for here to do something here. I tell people all the time that this is a nice place and that I would recommend this community.
