Outstanding Mental Health Facility
My wife had a progressive brain disease causing me to look into many Mental Facilities. Most were very depressing. Old people waiting to die. Not Liana. From the moment you walk in you knew this was different. Bright, clean, fresh, cheerful, caring staff. Residents are encouraged to do as much as they can. Very active. I visited day, night, weekday, weekend. Always the same professional, caring qualified staff. I thanked a staff member for taking care of my wife. He said," No, thank you. It was my honor to care for your loved one."

Excellent is an understatement
We were in a panic and Our care finder set up a last minute tour which the staff arranged for me to take seamlessly…the facility is beautiful…the staff had a beautiful rapport with all the residents we passed…and by the next morning my husband and I had decided on Liana for my mother…the staff literally bent over backwards to make the admission happen that very afternoon ….
It has been less than 24 hours and the ease of being a led to talk with the staff has been phenomenal……

excellent memory care unit. Beautiful, peaceful, homey feeling. ALL employees are loving, kind. make residents feel welcome and work GREAT together as a team. I sit for a few hrs with a resident there and i feel the love from employees to residents. I definitely would place a loved one here if the need arises.

If you are considering Autumn Leaves for you loved one- run the other way - fast. My husband was there for 2 weeks. Prior to his admittance I had toured twice, the staff was convincing, the place looked well planned. When he moved in on March 19, 2019, he was walking with no assistance, had no sores or wounds on his body After the first two weeks (they don't want you to visit the first 2 weeks) he collapsed, was sent to the hospital with pneumonia, multiple pressure sores on ankles, heels (stage 2), hip (stage 3), buttocks and back (stage 2), swollen legs and feet, rash, irregular heart beat and could not walk or stand on his own. With out my knowledge he had been given a drug that has a black box warning from the FDA that says "do not give this drug to elderly demintia patients"

Run away- fast
Run the other way. My husband moved in March 19. He could walk without assistance and had no sores or wounds on his body. Two weeks later, he was in the ER with phneumonia, mulitiple bedsores (stage 2 and 3), swollen legs and feet, rash, irregular heart beat and could not stand or walk on his own. They do not want you to visit the first 2 weeks so you can imagine my shock when I saw him in the ER. This place looks good and sounds good but there is a definate lack of care.

autumn leaves is a new place built end of 2017 it has wide hallways all led lighting I have never seen clutter or cleaning carts left in the hallways VERY VERY clean place also smells nice they take care of every thing also they have there own doctors and nursing on staff not like other nursing homes they told us we had to take my 95 year old mother in law out to doctors apt. our selves REALY. very relaxing to my wife and I that autumn leaves takes total care of every thing!!! the whole staff s very kind to everybody great head chef [name removed].

Autumn Leaves in Venice was the best by far.
I don't often write reviews, however, my experience touring Autumn Leaves in Venice was something to write about. I have researched and/or toured every Assisted Living and Memory Care Program in SouthWest Florida finding nothing I could feel good or confident about. After my visit to Autumn Leaves, I finally felt a sense of relief that there was an option for my father to live in a safe, dignified and caring environment where his needs could be met respectfully.
The physical facility was brand new and immaculate and was decorated in a way that was warm and homey. The staff were professional, friendly and really knowledgeable about Alzheimer's Disease. They definitely related to what our family and father have been going through. They were able to answer all of our questions and concerns.
I was also impressed with the plans for high quality food services and stimulating activities for the residents. I'd highly recommend looking at this residence if you're needing to go through the ordeal of moving a family member to an Assisted Living Care environment

I have been searching for the best care for my father who sadly has suffered with Alzheimer's Disease. I have toured every possible Assisted Living and Memory Care Facility in South West FL. I found Autumn Leaves in Venice to be the absolute best residence and the only one I would consider moving my father to.
The physical environment was beautiful and dignified. The staff that we met were compassionate, knowledgeable and supportive towards my father and my family. The activities, living environment, privacy and actual treatment was so impressive.
We left our tour feeling for the first time with a sense of relief that we now have an option for quality and respectful care for our father.
