I still so mad and I was NOT going to leave anything but I guess I really need to let others know. I took my MOther there in 9/10/18 she has Dementia does not speak English. I was assured by the owner that he was going to hire someone that spoke Spanish and also a 24/7 care giving since my Mom was bedridden and that I need to paid extra for the special service. in all appearance it looked good that my Mom had a private room. No problem. The night person would come and go to sleep all night, very rude. The place is an OVEN HOT. went I took my Mom I was told the AC was broken and it was going to be fixed the next day ( she was there for 30 days, the thermostat was set at 80 everyday) I transfer my Mom from her home in Miami with a 24/7 caretaker that did a wonderful job for my Mom, in 4 years she did NOT have one bed sore. This place was so hot right away she develop bed sores. I live about 3 miles from the place and I had to put her there since I do not have room at home. I visited, cooked for her and almost everyday went and clean her and feed her. The first incident happen 2 weeks later, she was shocking, I happen to showed up with the help in panic, had to call the rescue myself. She spend the night at the hospital and I took her back. I was getting ready to change places when 2 weeks later I showed up and found my MOM with foam in her mouth and CHOKING!!!! Again the untrain help in panic. I had to call the rescue. The owner was outside cutting the grass, he NEVER came in to check what was going on and this was 5-6pm and after cutting the grass he went home. My Mom was in heart/kidney failure, got to hospital at 7PM and at 3 AM she was transported to a Tidewell HOSPICE facility (they were great) my Mom passed away at 9 AM only 14 hours after my discovery. I had just paid the full monthly price and My Mom die 10 days after, The owner refuse to reimburse the money that according to the contract I have to give a 30 day notice ( over $3,000.00) my MOM DIE!!!!and I was supposed to take my Mom back to die there in that hell hole, that I broke the contract for taking her to Tidwell facility which she was a patience of them He does NOT care for the people ONLY the money he is making from them. I hope that people will read this and make the right decisions for their loved ones. It may be different for a client that can move and take care of themself and like the heat BUT not for a bedridden or Hospice patient

Don't Do It
The owner, [name removed], is very impatient and rude. He is there most of the time and mostly sits around on the phone. You can hear him fighting with staff. The staff can't cook and are very inattentive and mostly stay outside smoking and are constantly on their phones. No one seems to know what's going on with medications, either. Try ANYwhere else. The residents don't even get their teeth brushed in the morning or at night and forget about denture care. And they aren't taken to the bathroom regularly, they just wait until the patients are wet or soiled. Absolutely no activities, either. All of the food is either micro-waved or cooked on a counter top skillet or toaster oven. And it is hot in the main room. No air conditioner to speak of. The tour is great and then everything changes.

Compassionate care
My grandmother was a resident for years and received only kind and compassionate care. The facility worked with Medicaid to keep her even after funding was an issue. They provide excellent care until the end.
