unpleasant odor in the memory care facility. However, my mom's room was clean and her trash was emptied as needed (which was a LOT).\nThey have great caretakers. That was the most important part to us. \nMom got attentive, expert care there. Mom couldn't eat much while she was there due to medical issues, so not sure about the meals/dining.\nMom didn't recover enough to do any activities, so I can't provide any comments on the activities.\nIt was pricey but they did provide a lot for that money. I have no idea whether the charges were reasonable. They helped to file for long-term care insurance. That was nice. \nThe doctor there helped me understand Mom's condition and let me know what may follow. I didn't always want to hear it but the preparation really helped. I remember a couple of her caretakers seeming so happy to help. Like, smiling when they were helping her get out of bed. I once went there to trim Mom's hair and the caretaker complimented her new 'do. They helped me take her outside into the sunshine. Little things like that made Mom smile. Mom died shortly after moving there, and one thing that comforted me a great deal was that we had chosen such a good place for her last weeks.
