Great Place, Great staff
Across the board the staff at Independence Village is kin, caring, thoughtful and considerate. They frequently went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure my mother was happy and comfortable. In addition it is a nice updated facility offering a good variety of services and activities

Tenured staff
The majority of the staff have been there long-term. Seem very happy with our jobs. The physical therapy department there is outstanding. Not part of Independence, but a major plus.
I have sent an extensive email regarding the food. How unpleasurable it is to join dad for meals because everybody at the table is complaining about their food :-( most of the time. The soups and deserts are often quite nice.
They have changed chefs and ownership since Dad went to live there. Initially, the food was one of their greatest draws

Wonderful place for Mom and dad.
I made one call in the morning to A Place for Mom and by early afternoon the same day we had an appointment at Independent Village on McCarty Rd. One introduction meeting and a look at the facilities and were hooked. [names removed] say the staff is wonderful! Also, they say the food is wonderful!! No waiting time, plenty to eat, lots of fruit and the food is never cold. [name removed] just loves breakfasts!

We were attracted to them because of the friendliness of the other residents when we went there for the visit and the food was excellent when we went there to visit. I would happily recommend to anyone and everyone. The staff is welcoming and warm. It honestly would be a five they have been in the middle of changing chefs and the food has been a little bit disappointing but overall it is an amazing place.
