Great place - first class
My mom has been at Independence Village for less than a year, but it feels like home!! Staff are amazing, friendly, and helpful. My family could only be happier with mom's new place, and we are so thankful that she is happy and enjoying life here.

A great place to live when one is able to move around. If necessary, one can hire a caregiver to help as needed. Food has improved greatly, both quality and presentation.

Staff is attentive, pleasant, and genuinely care for the residents. Facility is well maintained inside and outside with great views. Abundant daily activities to choose from. Local transportation for appointments, shopping, etc. Dining experience has improved since StoryPoint assumed operations. Great living here.

I Love It Here

We have a family member who has been living at Independence Village in Johnson City, TN, for over 4 years. What a wonderful place! Ava, the Executive Director, is amazing! She really cares about people and goes out of her way to help the residents and their families/friends. Her giving nature is second to none. She is professional and attentive, and works hard to maintain a beautiful and clean environment for all who live there. Her welcoming nature makes it a pleasure to visit. I am a Geriatric Care Manager and I recently took a client of mine to tour Independence Village. We originally planned to tour one community a week, however, my client immediately fell in love with this community and put down a deposit the same day. She loved the look and feel of the community and especially the friendliness of the staff and residents. I have seen this add so much excitement to her future and readiness for her move in [Date Removed]! She is especially grateful to not have all the home maintenance!

Welcoming positive environment
5 on all except the meals which are still very good but prob at a 4. There is a beautiful view of the mountains are a bonus as is its location, which is close to a number of restaurants and easy shopping opportunities. It has a very welcoming and positive environment with very kind staff. Modern accommodations with well thought out activities and spaces.

My mother is currently a resident at Everlan of Johnson City. Everything has been great for her at this facility! The staff is great. The food is good. The cleanliness and friendliness are great, as well as the care services. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Permanent cruise experience
Everlan of Johnson City is a wonderful place. The moment you walk in, you feel a sense of relief. It is a fairly new building that is only about 2 years old. They bent over backwards to help us get my sister in law in here. She just LOVES it. She said she feels like she is on a permanent cruise ship. The food is great and staff have been so helpful. There are tons of activities and clubs available for residents and transportation as well. The views are beautiful too. They don't have many studios available but we are on the waiting list for the next one that is open. If I was looking for a place for myself, this is where I would go. We are very happy with our choice and would highly recommend Everlan of Johnson City (but they are completely full at the moment).

We love this community and our loved one is happy here. The entire staff we couldn't say enough good things about. All of the residents are wonderful and the food is phenomenal. We would recommend this community, don't hesitate to move here.

Outstanding
There's a great sense of community here, in all aspects, including the residents and staff, just every part about it. The housekeeping staff are outstanding. The food is very good. They take their food seriously, and it comes out as such. It's a great apartment, but short of what I expected. I just really would have like to have had a deck. But you'd have to come experience it for yourself. I couldn't be more pleased with it here.

Would recommend the community for independent living
The food they serve at the community is very good, and the activities are also very good. I do think the value is at a good cost and I just really enjoy it. The residents are very friendly, the staff members are excellent. We have received really good care during the pandemic. There has only been a few residents who tested positive, but it was never an issue and it did not spread.
