Come and be a part of the family!
The staff is wonderful to work with! Activities, including BINGO, and other craft activities are planned and easy to do with limited mobility. The dining experience is good, but they are, and have been for some time now, looking to hire a chef. They all work hard to make living here enjoyable! I have also made a lot of friends! Getting to places is easy with transportation being provided.

Well worth it
Place is worth it. Has nursing and pt in it. Has prepared meals. We’re nice to bring meals to me after surgery. Also has activities such as bingo weekly. Physical therapy and kitchen staff very friendly

Our family's experience
The young lady in the office is extremely helpful. I think her name is [name removed]. She had lots of helpful information. The apartment size is good for 1 person but the bedroom ilhas weird angles which makes arranging the furniture a little challenging. There are activities available if the resident is interested. My husband takes a while to get comfortable with new people. The staff checks on him regularly and encourages him to get out of his room.

Mm mostly okay. A lot of remodeling and a few structure issues
There had been a lot of changes to the building and staff . The kitchen is a mess. The menu is the same thing weekly. Shortage of food. Not paying attention to what is needed till it's to late. We pay a great deal for meals. The kitchen staff should let people know.

Great staff

Where Comfort Meets Elegance
Independence Village of Evansville is really a great place. I have been here now for 3 months and I am really enjoying my stay here. I have a really nice studio room that has plenty of closet space a kitchenette refrigerator and a very good bathroom. I have plenty of space here for my Walker. The staff is great and very helpful in all things. We are now just going through a remodeling process that is almost finished. Everything looks beautiful, all new furniture and carpet and flooring throughout all rooms including the kitchen. The chairs in the dining room are very comfortable. I could not have found a better place to live.

Great and people are friendly and kind here. This is a great place to be and there are shops near by to go. Plus the hospitals here the people do help you. I love it here. The food is great and they have bingo and other things and places to go to.

My Views and Comments on Independence Villages
I am fairly new at this facility, having moved in the end of May 2024. I am slowly getting more acquainted and making new friends. The facility has recently changed ownership so there are a lot of changes going on (policy and renovations). The staff seems to be on top of things and keeps the residents informed. There are many and varied activities to keep residents entertained. The suites are small, but adequate. The food is very good and tasty.But I do think they serve too many carb items. For example mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese on the same entree. We are elderly and sedentary. If anyone needs extra care or therapy, programs are available for them. They contract with several agencies. One issue that I think needs further addressing is the emergency escape plan. Those residents living on ground floor and lower level have direct access to the outside.Those of us on the floor above and using either wheelchairs, walkers, or motorized vehicles would have a difficult time exiting

Reasonable rates but so-so in many ways
My mom lived there for eight years and it served her. Room was sizable and had outdoor patio. Rates were reasonable. Willow is in a very quiet location. The facility had good onsite (add-on) services such as physical therapy. Pet friendly.
But place was getting tried and neglected overall. Lots of turnover in staff and of ownership. Food was okay but choices were very limited and service slow. Transportation bus had limited hours & outings to special events were unusual. Housekeeping provided for rooms was sub-par. Place only has one elevator so slow... get a room on the main floor. FYI much of the parking is via rear lower level entrance. No staff were onsite after 7:30pm...yes it is independent vs assisted living, but no staff was worrisome given condition of the residents. Outside walkways on east side are not ADA compliant. New onwer improve??? FYI pics in "Life Style" section of web must be stock as are NOT from Willow Park.
