They initially took some time to acclimate themselves since they had only lived in one house for 60 year. That said, they were loved and care for beginning their first day. So many staff, caregivers and residents touched their lives on a daily basis. They both considered IV their home and the staff and caregivers their family. Not to mention the support and love that my family felt when both of my parents began declining in health. We will always be grateful to everyone at IV for their love and kindness. If only Independence Village had been our first stop in searching for a new home.
