The staff could not have known what the emergency was so 30 minutes is shockingly long to respond. \n\nThere had been a change in ownership to Grossmont Gardens, and the food service has significantly gone down hill. The choices are few, repetitive, and the service in the dining room can be painfully slow. Plenty of room for a bed, chair, dresser, bedside table, TV stand, bookshelves, etc. She has a balcony (she's on the second floor) but all rooms have a small patio/balcony. She has a frig in her room and room for a microwave. She is even able to do her own laundry, if she wants, in their community laundry rooms. Lovely dining room, pool, the grounds are well kept with lots of walkways for strolling. A library, community room and lots of activities. The only thing they are having an issue with is getting drivers for the weekly \"bus tours\" that used to take place.
