There are a variety of food choices and in my visits there I have found the food to be quite tasty. Fairwinds offers many opportunities to engage in activities and social events and values quality of life for seniors. The food was very good. But, Mom moved into this facility knowing she would die there from Leukemia. She was on Hospice. As Mom got weaker and weaker, I learned that the marketing people gave me misleading info about their capabilities to care for someone near end of life. They have a \"no lift\" policy. The employees could not get my Mom onto the bedside commode, it was only when I got there with the help of an employee. Near the end, they would bring food to her room, but it was out of her reach. I was told before Mom moved in, she could have a pendant around her neck to push the button for help for $30/mo, but when she really needed it, they said they don't offer that service, but that they would make an exception for Mom. They said they could provide care until she dies, but they really can't.
