Caring Staff Makes a Difference
I like the small size and staff friendliness. Some staff members really go out of their way to show care and kindness towards my mother-in-law. Compared to other similar facilities the cost is fair. I appreciate that Elkhart Place was able to accommodate my mother-in-law when she had an injury. Being able to evaluate and provide a varied level of care is another plus for this organization.

Elkhart Place is a pet friendly senior living community where we provide residence with quality care and assistance in their daily routine when needed, while promoting independence as long as possible. We develop individual care plans to meet the needs of each resident, and a full-time licensed nurse is available 24 hours a day to provide clinical oversight and coordination of care. Situated in a peaceful part of town, our community provides an ideal senior living setting with a variety of amenities in the area. Don't give them your checking account number or financials. Very aggressive accounting dept. We picked this community because It looked nice and my loved one was happy with the decision.

Elkhart Place review
I like almost everything at Elkhart Place. The staff is so friendly and positive and kind and helpful:) It's clean, I like the way they wash only one person's laundry at one time. No mix up on clothes. Something I wasn't told about it is that almost everyone there ..well it's like a nursing home...more than assisted living. I ALMOST cancelled going there when I saw how many people were In wheel chairs with their heads down...and others...well just not active or vibrant. I like the activities they do but music...church music, isn't there..no pastors come in,...only one churchy thing and it doesn't fit [name removed] needs...but that isn't all their fault. We were told someone would take him walking each day but I can count on 1 hand how many times they did that and he has been there over a year. They shouldn't have promised that in the failure to take him walking was a huge disappointment. The staff presence on weekends is very light. Again, I want to say that they have been very helpful to us ..I like that they always have a nurse there all the time. And I REALLY LIKE the staff. They are really positive,
patient and energetic.

What our family likes the most about Elkhart Place is the staff. I truly love some of the nurses and CNA's. They care very much for my Dad's well being. He's not interested in activities. The staff is very good to my Dad.

Elkhart Place review
We are glad to have our loved one at Elkhart Place. The average age for the residents living there is probably around 80-85 at at times the energy level is low. However the staff members are doing a good job of caring for our loved one there.

It's a good facility, staff is very friendly and caring.Smaller in size, able to meet my father's needs, close proximity to my home. The meals are not as great as previous location. Cost is okay.It's a very nice community. They need to work on their kitchen...no choices for residents. Hope you like what they fix! Their staff is extremely caring. It is a small community which is nice and it makes it more personable.

A Great Place for Dad
It was bright and cheerful. The workers looked happy. I walked out of that place having a good feeling about it compared to the others I looked at. I just feel very fortunate that it's the best fit for Dad. The staff is wonderful. Dad's comfortable there and I know he's in great hands

They have had many changes in staff and some have not been replaced yet.
They really just need more staff. They just hired an activities director.

Nice Community
My loved one did not move into the community. I thought the people that worked there were very friendly, and they also showed us around. We picked this community because, it was a facility that offered services for dementia patients. I would recommend to other families.

I would definitely recommend Elkhart Place, and I have. I'm very confident that our loved one is well cared for. Watching interactions between the staff and the residents, the staff is very patient, courteous, and friendly. Our loved one says the food is good. And I think her apartment is very nice as well.

Safe and friendly community
We chose Elkhart place because it was a smaller community and they provided a wonderful security system where people cant just come in or leave. The room sizes here are very ample. I think the food could use some improvement, she did not feel like it is as good of quality and could use more variety. The staff here is wonderful and the facility itself is very nice. It is very friendly and upbeat community and I would definitely recommend it.

This facility has really changed. They updated the entire place. The residents seemed engaged while doing a socially distanced activity. The staff were very helpful with answering the many questions we had. Lunch was about to be served and smelled amazing. This is a front runner for us.

We were not Impressed with our tour of this community. We toured in for my in laws, and their needs. The residents didn't not appear to happy, or cheerful. We did not feel this would be a good environment for my in laws. We did find another community that met our needs better.
