Also planned events away from the facility like the zoo, afternoon teas, trips to the movies and museums. Maybe reach out to local universities for folks who are studying art therapy & ask them to volunteer time. Independent living that offers additional help for those who need it but are not yet in need of assisted living. The staff here are passionate about helping their residents and helping them find the right caretakers to fit the needs of the individuals. The caretakers are an additional cost but still not as costly as assisted living and you can use them as needed. Having a community of people for socializing, meals provided, and activities scheduled has been a blessing since I live out of town and can’t be there to keep eyes on them.
