Comfort and caring atmosphere
It is a nice place to call home. The staff is loving and caring. They treat everyone like family. They even care for the elderly with love and respect and kindness. They even take the clients out on outings.

I love the size of the home. It seems warm and friendly. All the nurses and aides know all the residents.

Great Place to Be
They had a chef. I was highly impressed with the activites. The experience could not be any better, and they helped out alot. Compared to other place, we got awesome care.

Stay Away!
The communication was horrible, as the community didn't have any phones in the residents rooms. When we visited to see our loved ones, the staff didn't know who we were or where to find my loved ones. When the community finally did let us in, I found out after finding my loved one that they were in quarantine for the flu. The community didn't post anything on the doors, or called the families to let us know about this outbreak.
There was no place to put the trays of food for my loved one in their room since they were in quarantine. The community didn't want to treat my loved one for an infection and said to take my loved on the hospital.
The community is beautiful and didn't smell.
The person that admitted my loved ones, tried to use their personal cell phone to allow us to speak to our loved ones.

I'm surprised to read your review, as several things don't add up. 1) residents can choose to have a phone in their room, we don't make that decision for them 2) we pride ourselves in our communication with the first contact for each resident 3) we don't furnish the rooms, so we work with what each resident has and it sounds like they didn't provide a place for the room tray. I was pleased with this community when we looked at it. The person that took us on tour was friendly. The community looked well taken care of. My loved one felt that another community would work better for them.

Nice tour
My sisters were the ones who did the tour here and the staff did a nice job, they showed them all around and answered all their questions. It is a nice community but they felt that it was not the right fit for our dad.

No call no show!
This place was a BIG NO! When I went to take the tour the people did not show up for the appointment. I did not like the feel of the place anyway, but then they never even followed up with us to see if we wanted to reschedule. They were very unprofessional.

Mom Loves It Here
Everything is working out pretty well for my mother here. She is happy here and I'am satisfied with all they have done for us. She is being cared for well here. I know she is safe and in good hands. It has been a good experience for us here at this community.

Very nice place!
We're very pleased with how things have gone at Rutherford House! The facility itself is well kept and clean, and the staff is friendly and do a great job looking after the residents! I really like the variety of trips, activities, and events that they have for the residents, and that they encourage everyone to socialize.

Nice looking place!
We toured this community when we were looking into care options for a loved one. I thought this was a very nice looking place! The people we met were friendly, and the facility itself was clean and well kept. This was our second choice, if for some reason things did not work out with the first.
