cogir of Vallejo Senior Living review
Cogir Vallejo is clean and have several activities for the residents. Cogir charges a fee for every service. They are unable to fully accommodate diet for chronic GERD-gastric reflux.

New life style
My husband and I moved to Cogir of Vallejo Hills about 5 months ago after leaving our home of 50 years in Mt View. We visited and selected Cogir because of its appearance and location near our daughter. We are still adjusting to the new life style but find we are very pleased with the independent apartment and the activities. The meals are very good and really well balanced. We are both physically active so are happy with the activities and exercise choices. We are just beginning to take advantage of all the transportation options offered because our daughter takes us to many appointments.
We are looking forward to things to come with the holidays. We already see how beautifully the buildings are decorated.
I would love to have some of my friends as neighbors whenever they start looking for a new home.

Beware of medication system
My mom had a stroke so we moved her several times for higher level of care. She can no longer walk. But she talks to her friends there weekly. We were at cogir to see her friend last week and had lunch with 10 friends. They use a medication system omnicare we had to call the ombudsman to deal with the non notification of the program and the $[removed] cost they charged before notifying us.

Peaceful and Harmonious Community
I work in senior living, so when it was time to help my mother-in-law find a community, we knew exactly what questions to ask and what we were looking for. Cogir of Vallejo Hills fit the bill on all the important fronts. Most importantly, it is an extremely safe and well-run community. Knowing my mother-in-law is safe and that the staff is extremely responsible and well trained was paramount.
I will say that this is one of the most lovely communities I have had the privilege to experience. Situated on top of a hill, with sweeping views of the hills and water, the energy is peaceful, the grounds extremely well maintained, and the food was off the charts good.
My mother-in-law could not be more happy. Transitioning to living alone and downsizing after the death of a loved one is never easy, but it sets my heart at ease to see her in the community. Her apartment is very modern and newly renovated. She has easy access to the dog park and has already started making friends. Thank you!

Great place for retirement years
My sister needed to come out to west coast to be near family as she was getting up in age. I was told of Cogir Vallejo Hills by a longtime friend whose mother lived there . My sister has been here a while and loves it. The residents are so friendly and we often say most could teach young people about their great outlook on life. The staff are highly motivated and seem to enjoy their jobs.

Four Year Resident Review
Present staff is very good and improving. They are competent, friendly, and extremely supportive of the residents. The facility is about 50 year old with occasional plumbing and elevator problems but is in the process of being updated. The residents are a great mix of professions and skills and are very friendly and welcoming. In short, I am very happy I am here.

Warm and friendly community.
We were very happy with Cogir. Especially the friendliness, the activities, and the cost. We didn't expect our mom to adjust so quickly- she felt at home right away and was very happy. Exceptional Facility & Exemplary Staff
I knew from the moment I walked into the lobby that I had found the place for my 92-year-old mother. The facility is exceptional and very well maintained. The staff could not be more friendly and professional. I have no reason to worry about my mother because the facility is secured and my mother has access to assistance 24/7. I have no reservations about recommending Cogir of Vallejo Hills to anyone.

My mom moved to Cogir of Vallejo Hills Senior Living early this year. I can’t emphasize enough how comfortable she feels in her new home. She is well cared for by the attentive, friendly staff. My mom is finally able to be back in the present and revisit passions like painting, something she was not able to prioritize when she lived independently.
My mom enjoys the feeling of community at Cogir. Everyone is kind and welcoming, there are opportunities to sing, dance, stretch, go on excursions, and above all, connect with others. The social engagement here is fundamental to maintaining my mom’s mental health as she grows older.
My mom loves hanging with her “breakfast crew.” It's great for her to not have to worry about cooking or cleaning.
I feel so relieved that my mom has landed here. I have full trust in the people who keep Cogir going and helped make her transition here seamless. The staff cares about its residents and makes families like ours feel confident in our decision.

I lived in this community for almost 16 years. The staff treat the residents like family. The chef is Italian and the food is excellent! Our activity director goes out of her way to find fun and exciting things to keep our minds and bodies active.
