Highly recommended.
[name removed] has Alzheimer's and I was so worried about how she would be taken care of in a facility basically paid for by medical. It is really great. She is more engaged, clean, and always smiling when I come to visit. All the staff know her and tell me stories about how she's doing!
The set-up is great, small groups for eating and activities and a great outdoor environment. It's a locked facility which is perfect for all the residents.

A great place for mom
My mother is living in the Stanford Cottages Senior Living facility for over a month now and is enjoying her move here. [name removed], who oversees the care, is wonderful and is always friendly. She has been excellent follow through and is caring and professional. [name removed], the administrator and [name removed], the business office manager, are both so friendly and do such a great job with the residents. They make all the families that come visit feel welcome. I highly recommend this community as a provider of choice for your loved ones.
The activities are endless, the grounds are beautiful, the staff are wonderful, and the residents are truly happy and well taken care of. The staff has done a great job. I can't say how good I sleep knowing my mother is well taken care of at his wonderful community.

Our Experience at Stanford Cottages
They were totally nice, the few people that I talked to. They helped a lot when my husband was passing away from Covid after just arriving at Stanford Cottages after a hospital stay. They made sure we got hospice care in there for him. We were only there for two weeks, and it was just a hard time. Stanford Cottages was on top of everything, even before we moved in. Hospice were really the ones who helped us with the transition out of his room. The Stanford staff was very compassionate with his passing, it was just all over the phone, which was strange and difficult.

My Experience At Stanford Cottages
I can’t say enough good things about Stanford Cottages! I recently decided my mother would benefit better from living in an assisted living facility than being at home with a health aide. I couldn’t have found a better place than Citrus Gardens. From the moment I walked through the doors to tour the facility, the staff have been nothing but friendly. They have truly went above and beyond to ensure my mother was comfortable and that her transition to their facility was a smooth process. I am actually able to sleep well at night knowing my mom is being given the best care possible. The facility is so clean and they recently remodeled the room my mom is in and she absolutely loves it. They have fun daily activities and keep the residents very entertained through out the day. My mom raves about the delicious meals she eats there. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to place their loved ones in a memory care facility.

I have had a great experience with the staff here at Stanford cottages. I moved my grandmother into this memory care facility. Even through the difficulties of COVID-19 the staff was always giving me updates and ensuring that I was able to face time with my grandmother on a weekly basis. My grandmother has adjusted well and loves her roommates in her cottages, as well as doing the daily activities it has really helped brighten up her spirits.

Great and lovely place
Stanford Cottages is a great memory center, my mom is a current resident and she receives very good care. The staffs and nurse are not only professional but also very nice and kind, the ED Shannon is so friendly and responsive. So my mom likes staying at Stanford Cottages. It is not easy to find such a good facility especially coronavirus hits the United States. If you are looking for a memory care facility in California, Stanford Cottages is your top choice.

A Wonderful Place
Stanford Cottages Senior Living is a wonderful place for seniors, my dad lost his memory since 2018, I was looking for a memory care facility for him at that moment. After I toured many local facilities in Hemet, Stanford Cottages is the best facility. So I chose it for my dad, as of today I think I made a good decision, my dad receives very good service and care at Stanford Cottages Senior Living.

A great place for mom

Great and lovely place
I am so happy to have found Stanford Cottages. [name removed] and all the staff helped ease my worries and stress when moving my mom into memory care. Financial Elder Abuse
These people are thieves, financial abuse of the elderly. My grandmother needed a place to go to right out of the hospital. The price I was given started at $2800.00 then went up to $3800.00 (check was cashed within days) citing a higher level of care which she didn't need, and didn't get. Her husband took her out after 13 days, we weren't informed about giving a 30 day written notice regardless of what they say. So the community is demanding what amounts to $6168.21 for 13 days or they will take my grandmother to collections!

Newely Renovated
This community was just beautiful it has just been renovated within the last year. Everything looks so new the paint is fresh everything is so clean. The staff was very nice and friendly. The price was a little out of our budget range. Though we appreciated how nice and well groomed the community as we were looking more for the level of care the community would provide for mom.

My parents have told me that my grandmother really loves it at Citrus Gardens. I'm going to go and visit my grandmother soon so I can see everything for myself. My parents say that she is receiving good care and that it is easy to talk with the staff regarding my grandmothers care.

My Sisters New Home
Many thanks to 'A Place for Mom' for all their help in finding Citrus Gardens for my Sister. Since her stroke in August my Sister has gone thru many difficult living situations. Once [Removed] suggested that i look into Citrus Gardens for my Sisters care, things started going in the best direction. Speaking with the director of Citrus Gardens i soon realized that this was the right place for my Sister. [Removed] who is the director of Citrus Garden's Memory Care home, went and met with my Sister and helped amazingly to facilitate my Sister's move.
Citrus Gardens Memory Care is a secure "home" with four smaller homes surrounding a beautifully kept lawn and court yard. The rooms in each of the 'homes' are more like a family setting with common dinning rooms and individual bedrooms from private with a bathroom to a shared room with two beds. A very pleasant staff greeted me when i first toured the facility, but i got the impression that their first duty was to the care and needs of their residents.
Since arriving my Sister's peace of mind and wellbeing has greatly improved. She is now interacting with the other residents and enjoying the many arts and crafts groups offered there.

Helpful Staff!!
My loved one only lived in this community for a short period of time but while he was there our family was pleased with the quality of care he was provided. He seemed to enjoy the food and company of the other residents. The building was always very well maintained and the staff always where very helpful. He just was not happy and was more comfortable at home.

I feel relaxed here!!
The staff are friendly they always greet you and they care about the residents. I have not heard any complaints about the food. The community is always clean and I would recommend it.

The most compassionate group of people work here. My father was moved here from another facility and the care he receives has been top notch. This is the first place where I feel he is really being taken care of and I do not need to worry about his wellbeing.

That is a very important aspect of finding the right community for a loved one--being able to rest assured that they are being properly cared for. We have seen many new residents arrive, and then a week or so later--the family is saying that they haven't seen their loved one look so content in a long time, something we strive for!

Poor Management
This facility is horrible. It is understaffed and has poor management. I am extremely disappointed and feel sorry for the current residents and hardworking staff. There needs to be new management at Citrus Gardens.
