Terrible
Do not use!
Caregiver blatantly ignored nursing feeding orders on many occasions. Owner not educated on state rules and regs, always needing to call and check, then still getting it wrong. Saw unsafe food practices, i.e.,, washing a raw, whole chicken in kitchen sink then wiping same hands on the dish towel and hanging it back up for reuse, leaving food out for far too long, etc. Caregiver training is abysmal.

My loved one lived at Camellia Garden, and my recommendation is to find another home for your parent. The owner here is very loose with the rules and regulations unless it is going to get HER into trouble. I was appalled at some things that went on. The caregiver "training" is weak at best. "Awake overnight" really means caregivers sleeping on the couch in the family room.

Negligence
911 was called because of the incompetence of the so called nurses here. Apparently my mothers hand turned purple and the workers called 911. When my brother arrived at John Muir emergency he was told by the doctor that somehow our mother must have broken an ink pen! He cleaned her up and discharged her. I am ashamed we have put our mother in such an awful facility!

Really liked this one. Community manager is very nice. Family room very small, I wonder how they get everyone in there. Price was $4,000 but said it would not go up. Room w/bath very nice & cheerful.
