An Amazing Team and Facility
My 93 yr old mom fell at thanksgiving and fractured her femur and kneecap. The family tried to keep her home but it just wasn’t possible as she needed around the clock professional care. I was incredibly fortunate to find the amazing team at Brandywine in Litchfield who were so professional and caring.[name removed] were so responsive when I called and so kind! They arranged for a visit and a colleague to come to the house to evaluate my mom. Dave came to my family home to evaluate my mom and determine whether she could be well taken care of at Brandywine based on her circumstances. If it wasn't for [name removed] and his caring approach my mom would have never agreed to go to a facility. She was there for 3 months and now is back home.The entire team [name removed] and various members who worked so hard to have her engage and enjoy her time there from going to the movies, to the dining room and down to the pub for the Super Bowl! Many Thanks!!

Brandywine Living at Litchfield, Truly the Best!
Toward the fall of 2023 it was becoming clearer that our mom was in need of more care. Mom was progressing in her dementia, simple tasks becoming more difficult, reversal of her sleep pattern, awake at night, sleeping through the day. Right from the first phone call Brandywine was welcoming, up front, and prompt. The appropriate people returned phone calls, the tour was professional and transparent. The decision on where to place our mom (Assisted Living or Memory Care) was made with care, concern and with all of our information taken into consideration. Mom moved in last November and we have only become more impressed with Brandywine. Mom has a great schedule, eats well and sleeps regularly. The staff and I mean ALL the staff are considerate, caring, and most importantly they communicate! There is in house medical and they are also available and prompt to communicate. I can tell you as a elderly healthcare provider myself, that Brandywine is leaps and bounds ahead in best care!

Lovely facility with kind, attentive caregivers
Brandywine Living in Litchfield CT is a beautiful facility with staff that truly cares about each resident. Both of my parents have spent time there, and I found every single staff member - from the incredible woman at the front desk who is so helpful to the kind nursing staff to the director whose enthusiasm and positive outlook set the tone for all -- to be truly invested in every resident. The staff know the residents' families well, understand what each resident needs to feel comfortable and engaged, and always go above and beyond to make sure each day for each resident is as good as it can be. We have been so grateful for Brandywine.

Exceptional facility!!
The search for assisted living is daunting but after a tour of Brandywine and meeting several staff members, I was convinced we found the right place for my father. They asked detailed questions to make sure he would be properly cared for with respect and dignity. The facility is very clean and well maintained. There are so many activities to keep all the residents entertained. I am so relieved to have my father in Brandywine and knowing that he will be well cared for by qualified, knowledgeable and friendly employees.

Could not be happier with this facility
My mother is a resident at Brandywine in Litchfield, CT., an active woman who will turn ninety-nine on her next birthday. She is treated with kindness and respect by the staff and has made many friends and acquaintances there. She keeps herself busy with the activities they provide and has even taken up a few new interests and hobbies. They have exercise classes, music, movies, book club, cooking classes and much more. Her diet has improved, the food is plentiful, and we have heard lots of compliments about the meals, desserts and treats they provide. The facility is very clean and decorated with a luxurious atmosphere. The staff are wonderful, the executive director, wellness directors, kitchen staff, maintenance department, and all the others provide a hospitality that is tough to beat. They are caring, hands-on, friendly and devoted to their careers and the residents. I can't express my joy at having Mother is such a great facility.

My great grandmother lives there and she loves it. Smaller community, big rooms, good food, etc. All the staff are very professional and caring. She’s loves it and I love that she’s living there. Overall, 10/10 place.

We were totally dissatisfied with the place she was at before, so then Brandywine Living was recommended to us by A Place for Mom and we went to tour and really liked everything that we saw from them. The room sizes here are very good. They have been extremely accommodating and flexible to her special circumstances. It is a little more expensive than some other places that we looked at, but in my estimation I feel it is absolutely worth it. I would recommend them to other families looking.

Our tour experience
Our family had an in person tour and the staff were very caring, and it had a great atmosphere. My husband and I would be staying in the room together an we did not like how the room we would of moved into looked over a parking lot, and they did not have a private deck. We toured another community which had the private deck which we liked more, and the location was more convenient.

My mother was a resident in Reflections at Brandywine Living at Litchfield for the last three years. We were really happy with her care and the caring community that Brandywine provided for her. In the three years she lived at Brandywine, we got to know the staff quite well. They always made us feel welcome, as if we were "visiting grandma's house!" We came to most look forward to the Family Connections events every month, where the whole family was invited for music, delicious food, dancing, arts and crafts - unique events each month and so much fun! Brandywine feels like family. Their kindness, understanding, and care in difficult decisions and transitions meant the world to us...and above all, welcoming our family with open arms.

A Safe Place
I moved my 90 year old mother into Brandywine in Litchfield Ct after a rehab, and during the pandemic. Because of the virus we visit through a plexiglass partition. They are vigilant and keep the patients safe. My mother is in the memory unit. She is healthy, loves the food, has made some friends and looks good. The staff has been very helpful. I live out of state and I feel that my mother is in a safe place with real professionals.

Transitioning my mother in to a new assisted memory care facility was definitely made easier through the wonderful director of Community Relations, [name removed], who answered all the questions that helped me to select this community for my mother. The process can be daunting, especially in this uncertain pandemic environment, but all my questions about providing a safe facility were answered. Brandywine Living has a team of caring professionals who coordinate socially active programs, including private Face Time meetings to keep in touch with mom and who coordinate with a caring medical team, who are receptive and responsive to monitoring mom's needs and my concerns. Daily menus are sent to my e-mail address and the food sounds delicious.

Mom really enjoys eating in the beautiful dining room. She has lovely tables-mates. The overall facility is a cut above! My husband and I are so impressed by the dedicated staff.
