All in all, it is much better than where my sister is living. And, instead of having only one room and a bath, Aviva offers one and two bedrooms with a kitchen and living room. And the bathroom is roomy with a large closet. They give feedback on how the residents are doing. Housekeeping comes weekly and they do wonderful and leave cards behind of their being there with date and time. The maintenance staff always respond on the day when asked. We get information on Facebook of activities and we are going to a Fall Festival celebration tonight. The move in process was smooth and they had everything ready for the day we transitioned. The food is great and the staff that waits on the tables treat it like a restaurant with timely service. One thing that the staff mentioned is that it can take 3-6 weeks for people to adjust and they were right. At about the 6th week, I reminded my Mom that she still had purpose in her life and she has adapted well by being encouraged and encouraging others. She said,\" If I can't be in my house then this is a great place to live.\" After she realized the friends that she was making, it made a difference and the staff helped with connecting residents together to build these friendships.
