The activities director is continually looking for stimulating activities for the residents - in just two weeks my friend has participated in flower arranging, exercise class, dancing, and sing-a-longs with a live piano player. It feels wonderful to know that she is being so well cared for. She didn't last in Assisted Living more than 3 months and then we had to move her again. She wandered out the front door one night, and no one noticed. She just needed a lot more supervision and care. Of course when we had to move her again, we lost the very large community fee we paid the Assisted Living. I wish we had found Avalon earlier and come straight here. The staff have been here a very long time and they are so loving to my mom. It is small and homelike and they really work hard to cater to her individual needs. The staff have become like family to us and we couldn't ask for better care.
