Our holistic well-being framework is comprised of four essential components, in optimal combination: supportive environment, discreet care, social connection, and cognitive health. We collaborate with the resident, their family, doctors, and care partners to create an assessment-based plan of care, with supervision by on-site 24-hour licensed nursing staff and 24-hour dementia care-trained associates on-site. We also offer coordination with third-party and visiting therapists, clinicians, and specialists.
Our thoughtfully designed community consists of four distinct, locally themed neighborhoods, 12,000+ sq. ft. of secure outdoor space with walking paths and seating, and a Town Square with centralized amenities. Since our community specializes in memory care which is a progressive disease, we have residents at varying stages of the progression. Since we are memory care assisted living, we have residents in the early to mid stages of the disease as well. Our residents want to stay with us as long as possible, so you will meet some great residents that are further along in the disease process. We appreciate the recommendation!

The best!
Staff is wonderful with the residents and the facility makes you feel at home. Every time I Am there to visit there is always fun activities going on… this is not your average assisted living!

It is lovely and brand new, but it didn't fit our needs. They wouldn't guarantee a spot if we had paid for a specific amount of time and then switch to Medicaid.

Thank you for the 5 star review! We do participate in the NJ Assisted Living Waiver Program, but we require finances of up to 2 years with us before eligibility for the waiver could be considered. We are sorry we couldn't meet those financial guidelines in your case. We wish we could have!

Wonderful Community
A lot of the activities are geared towards women in the community than towards the gentlemen. The community has engaged my loved one into helping the maintenance team with different projects in the community.

Great Experience

Positive experience for memory care
We chose Artis Senior Living because they specialized in memory care and it opens the entire community to the residents instead of just having one wing, they are less restrictive and have more mobility. My aunt is in a private room. The staff are very accommodating and welcoming to her. I would recommend to others looking.

Hopeful for better days
We chose this facility because they seemed very thorough in their face-time presentation, they walked us through the rooms and facility. We also like the fact it is all one floor and are no stairs. They seem to always be doing something activities wise but I do wish my mom had more physical therapy. I have heard nothing but good things about the meals that they provide. Covid has posed unusual challenges during our experience with Artis Senior Living. I feel for what we pay, they could definitely offer better provisions for visiting. We were a little misled because it was beginning of covid and we were never told you could not have inside visits on weekends. Overall, I really would recommend it. It is a very clean place and the grounds are beautiful. It would be a whole different scenario if it weren't for covid.

Best Care facility for people with cognitive impairments
Artis is a state of the art facility to care for seniors with cognitive issues. The staff engages with residents in a loving manner and creates a home like environment rather than an institutional setting as many other places do. While it is a secure environment to ensure safety, it isn't a depressing locked ward. During the pandemic they made great efforts to post pictures daily on Facebook and facilitate window/outdoor/Zoom visits to meet the needs of the families.

One month in
Having to make such a difficult decision about the care of the love of your life is extremely difficult. I can say at this time, I have a tremendous peace seeing how my loved one is cared for and nurtured at Artis. Even during this Covid crisis, every effort has been made to keep me abreast of his care and well being. I look forward to getting photos of him enjoying all the different activities he is able to do. I love that he can walk everywhere, even outside whenever he wants and be safe in such a secure environment. Thank you Artis
