Amberlin at The Station review
My complaints would be that management doesn't follow through on complaints. And, the new grandchild swimming pool rules. For example -mon-fri/11-1pm only. No Sat. Sun, 1-5. The pool is not over used at any time so many grandparents who were promised open swimming are disappointed. Since I plan to live at the Amberlin for a while, i prefer my name not be published

New pool rules are not grandchildren (under the age of 18) friendly.
New pool rules are grandchildren under the age of 18 are prohibited from using the pool Monday thru Friday from 8am to 11am and from 1pm to 10pm and all day Saturday. They are permitted to use the pool on Sunday from 8am until 5pm. No other 55 plus apartments in the area have grandchildren restrictions for use of the pool.

We don't have Dining here, but there is a Social every Wednesday night where they serve food, or we have a Potluck! Awesome place. I feel blessed to be here! I recommend Amberlin to everyone.

My mom loves the facility. It's very friendly. There's a lot of activities that keeps her busy. She does live there by herself and she is constantly participating in the event they have which she would recommend staying at that to anyone.

What we like the most about the Amberlin at The Station is the piece of mind having my 93 yr old mother there. She absolutely loves her community. Based on the experience we have had, we would recommend this community to other families.

Our first year at Amberlin
It is a beautiful facility but, the yards flood and it was promised to us before we moved in that all the yards would have a walkway from the patio to the gate. It has never happened and with Mom's wheelchair, we have to hope the ground is dry or get her out a different way.
Two of the staff are helpful and nice. The manager is the one that says things and doesn't follow through.
All the people here seem to get along for the most part and they are all very friendly and considerate of each other. Be cautious if you have a pet because the rules for pets have changed
numerous times since we have moved in with our dog. We have so many activities, there seems to be something for everyone, if you like crafts, exercise, games (inside and outside), dancing, and others.
On the whole, it is a great place to be. We were use to having a house and not so much aware of the problems that could arise in an apartment complex.
Our apartment flooded in Jan. when our pipes broke and still is not finished to the extent as we had when we moved in. Just be more aware and cautious of different things that I guess we had no clue about.
This is supposed to be a gated community and more than half the time since we have been here, the gates are either broken or just not closed. It is not safe for the older people that are by themselves.

Less clutter, more time to mingle.
What we like the most about the Amberlin at The Station is that they have a pool table, a swimming pool and a game room. They also have a nice library and social Wednesday's. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.

Amberlin separated itself from their competition on every level. The sales staff is very friendly, and separates itself from the rest with their interactions with those living in Amberlin. When you're checking out other facilities for my mom, everybody would say hi, but nobody knew anyone's names. At Amberlin everybody knows everybody's name and is extremely friendly and caring.
Apartment size is a little tight, but we did purchase the smaller apartment size.
Amenities are terrific, pool, exercise room/equipment, library etc... very happy
1 1/2 months in my mom is extremely pleased with her decision to move into Amberlin.

4. This is independent living so there is no care to rate.
5. There is no food. These are independent apartments.
The one complaint I do have is that there is not enough parking for guests. I go see my mom 3 times a week and there is no parking.
6. They have plenty of great activities.
7. It is definitely on the expensive side but the protection in place is great. Sadly you can't get deliveries because it is a fortress.
Just know that there is limited guest parking and none of the delivery drivers can find the place. Good luck order a pizza because they can not get it. The security rocks though, no one can get in without a fob.
