Just outside of Seattle, Solstice Senior Living at Renton offers vibrant retirements with easy access to adventure and beauty along the Puget Sound.
This independent living community offers a variety of services to add convenience to residents’ retirement experiences and create optimal safety. These include scheduled transportation, weekly housekeeping, 24-hour access to medical expertise through telehealth, and urgent call systems. For residents that need more assistance, Solstice Senior Living at Renton works with in-home caregivers to provide personalized assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).

I picked this community, because of the ambience. It's bright almost everywhere you go and the residents I met on tour really seemed happy and they were friendly. The rooms are bigger than a couple of others I looked at. The price is reasonable for what you get. There is a true sense of community here. Everyone seems to care and look out for each other. I couldn't be happier with my choice.

Independent Living with Community and Compassion and Support
I would highly recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The caregivers and director are good at getting to know the residents and giving personal attention to the residents.
The staff communication with the family is great. They are timely in getting a response to us, and they actively listen to us with our questions, and concerns.

I Feel Very Welcomed and Felt Like Part of a Community
The community is like high school, you have all types of people here. All the people have been willing to talk to me, and welcome me into the dining room to eat with them, and speak to them during meal time.
The pendant that the residents wears is included but the service is paid for by the resident, and this wasn't communicated properly to me during the admissions process.
The staff have been great to work with.
The cottages are off the main building and they have a full kitchen and washer and dryer in the unit. The apartments on site, the residents have to provide their own fridge and such.

Genuine Caring Staff
Absolutely make sure you check out Solstice. A lot of these places all know of each other - I recommend when touring that you ask them what they think about each other. At Solstice, we've witnessed genuine care for their residents, which was very important to us. They've been terrific support so far. Their team has been incredibly helpful and caring. Our loved one has made friends. He seems happy with the food, and there seem to be a lot of activities. The cost is less than other places we looked at, and we've been very pleased with Solstice.

The Quality of Life Is Poor
I hate it here! The food is horrible. Only 8 of the meals are served in the dining room, the rest are served in Styrofoam containers for the residents to eat in their room. The texture of food is really poor. There are cooked vegetables but they are slimy. The food selections are not very unique. They do remember the dietary restrictions of the residents, but there is no way to honor the restrictions.
There are maintenance issues that need to be addressed in a quicker manner for the residents.
There is staff turnover.

a welcoming and great place for my mom
Everybody is friendly, the staff is great, and the community is really clean. The staff communicates well, and they have done a great protecting the residence during Covid.

Unfriendly management
I would say that from the management down, they are not very friendly with their residents. Generally, they are sending out written notice to the residents in a threatening manner regarding restrictions. The building is nice by all appearances. It just the underlying attitude of the staff that makes it not a friendly and comfortable place to live.

A great senior living option. Wonderful atmosphere, friendly residents who are greatly involved in providing activities. Not assisted living but do have an on-site office for a in-home care provider. Food was tasty. On-site physical therapy.

Potential homeless found a home.
Evergreen staff worked very hard to make a move there possible. My friend is now very happy, enjoying the people, making friends and joining in many of the activities.
I am so grateful to 'a place for Mom' and the directions from their agent
Shawneen Falck. Shawneen stayed in touch with us, helped connect us to
other help that was also needed. Eventually all came together thanks to
so many.

My experience with Evergreen Place has been a very good one. The staff here were responsive and easy to work with, and made getting things set up for my Mom as easy as could be. It seems like a very nice place, and she is settling in well.

It's wonderful, just wonderful!
It's wonderful, just wonderful! Evergreen place is the only place people should be. They have a lot of activities, they have bingo and a rummage sale. I'm a woman of color and it's very difficult to find a place where I feel comfortable, and I do here, it's very diverse, with lots of different cultures. The food is okay, but it's gonna get better. The halls are wide, you don't have to run into each other, and the management is just great!
