Beware!!! These people are horrible!!
Do not bring your family members here. The owner lied to me multiple times about several things. The honor and the staff refused to give my father his pain medications as directed by the hospice doctor. He was in so much pain that he actually contemplated suicide which is nothing my father would ever do. Once my father became unresponsive I did not get a phone call. I found out when I arrived Monday morning. After that they gave him his medications and then some because his, the master bedroom suite, was on the other side of the house of the other bedrooms the kitchen in the living room. The staff did not want to be bothered with my dad flailing in getting half out of his bed so they made sure to give him his medications so they didn't have to check on him. Also when my brother visited he found that my father's drinking cup had find me stuff in it. I said the owner multiple times to stay with my father at night and was told no that I bothered the staff which turned out to be a lie. I was lucky enough to be allowed to stay the night with him tonight he passed but was told that I was not allowed to go to sleep while I was there. This is a terrible place please please do not take your family members here

Our experience has been absolutely excellent. there is A Caring Manor 1 and A Caring Manor 2 and our loved one is in A Caring Manor 1. The friendliness of the staff members is just off the chart, the value is great and the care services are perfect. They do have a few activities for the residents to participate in. The care givers are amazing, one in particular does my moms nails, hair and just makes her feel very pretty. They have been very good to our loved one.

Comfort and care
I like the care at this community. My mother in law is happy and likes everything here at the community. The menu is nice and she seems to be pleased. We like that she is active with the other residents. This community has animals and that does make her happy to be able to be around for fun. We would recommend this community for the care of a loved one for a positive place to call home.

They are doing okay for the most part.
They are doing okay for the most part. The staff is friendly. They have dropped the ball a few times when it comes to care. They don't offer much in the way of activities at all that would be very helpful.

It's been good, it's solved a lot of our problems.
It's been good, it's solved a lot of our problems. Tender Heart Home Care has been good to work with as well. They don't have a lot of people in the area we are, but they are doing a good job trying to accommodate us. The caregiver is working out fine, and it's consistently the same person. They have been pretty reliable so far, and have been good about communicating with me.

Above others I have toured
I felt that this community was a real nice community, that was staffed with friendly people and they seemed to be very well liked among the many residents there. The staff is very efficient and very up to date with the patients and their healthcare needs. I thought it was very clean, and overly friendly aiming to please all who reside and visit here.

Treat you like family!
Not a whole lot of activities but I liked that it was like a family there. Kids are there and they treat your family member like their family. Yvonne and her husband Jim are really good with the elderly and their daughter was really great to have around. They were very welcoming!

stunningly beautiful!
The place at A Caring Manor is absolutely stunningly beautiful! They also make the transition into this sort of living situation seamless and they really bend over backwards to accommodate in any way they possibly. The meals and meds are always on time, and the quality of care is superb. I would highly recommend them.

A great home
the staff is very friendly and was well advised about my dad. the facility itself was over the top clean at all times when I would visit. his care was always satisfactory, and meals were home cooked and nutritious. dad had several choices of daily activities if desired. the staff and manager always met dads personal needs. dad felt that a caring manor was his home away from home. If you are looking for a home for a loved one, than I strongly recommend that you visit the facility

A Caring Manor I
Facility is beautiful. Caregivers are problematic. ..don't dust, have to be asked to vacuum, mix up meds, have been argumentative. Nutritional value of meals is low..they never serve fresh vegetables or fruits, and seldom frozen; canned most of the time. Corned beef hash and spam are meat staples. Heart healthy diet is not followed. You may bring in your own fresh fruit and veggies at your own cost, which for the monthly fee should be included. Activities are up to residents. Conclusion: this is a facility for serniors who are close to death and require basic needs. Manager is elderly herself with very little hands on. She is easily confused and often does not know what her caregivers are up to. Managers grandchildren come to visit and are loud and unruly with little supervision.

A Great Choice
My mom was only there a little over a week before she passed but while she was there the care was very good and hospice was there everyday too so she was really well looked after. There were two other women there and I know one of them was probably 90 and she was playing solitaire on her computer and the caregivers were popping in and helping her. The other woman just loved talking and visiting with people. There was plenty for her to do and she was good about coming to sit with mom. When I was looking at places I was desperate at that point. I only had a few hours to choose somewhere to go after rehab. When I walked into this house I just felt like it was the right place for mom to be.

A Place for Mom has scored A Caring Manor I 1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
